| US Supreme Court Declines Appeal by Evangelist Jerry Falwell
|

| Tuesday, April 18, 2006 |
An intriguing Internet domain name trademark dispute: Evangelist Jerry Falwell, attempted to shut down Fallwell.com, a common misspelling of his own name, and a site that opposes the evangelist's views on gays.
Thumbs up to Mr. Lamparello for sticking to his guns, and going up against a much bigger gun than himself. But what does this ruling mean in the realm of trademark infringement? Isn't he clearly using Falwell's name in a way that confuses readers? A wisely crafted home page is Mr. Lamparello's saving grace.
